How the Kolbe A Index Reveals the Type of Work You Thrive In

Which Type of Work Feels Right for You?

Imagine there are four objects on a table, each representing a different type of work. There’s actually a psychological test that can predict what sort of work you would prefer.

So, would it be deep research? Would it be an opportunity to develop a process for follow-up and conduct due diligence on a specific matter?

Would there be a project that perhaps hasn’t been scoped entirely, and there are many unknowns associated with it?

Or maybe there’s something in the physical world where you have the chance to dig out a floor plan and really plan something in the physical world.

Introducing the Kolbe A Index

This test, the Kolbe A Index, which I recommend to you, will accurately predict which of those four items you would choose.

It’s not about personality, cognitive tests, IQ, or anything like that. It’s how you show up at work and how you problem-solve and approach the world of work.

I found it really useful for myself. Knowing which sort of work I thrive with, whether it’s with teammates, family, or my coaching clients, in terms of helping them, is crucial.

It’s not necessarily what field to go into, but what form of work is best suited to them. And it’s not that you’re not capable of doing these other things.

I’m something called a high quick start in Kolbe A Index, which means I thrive in uncertainty and creativity, and I know that the best time to build a parachute is when you’re falling out of the sky, that sort of environment.

And it doesn’t mean that I can’t work in other environments. It’s just that if I get the opportunity to work in that environment, I’m going to thrive. I’m going to have the same level of energy at the end of the day, having worked on it all day.

Why Team Dynamics Matter

In contrast, somebody else who’s not suited to that, they’re going to be just jaded and exhausted because it’s not their sweet spot.

So it’s a fantastic way of looking at the dynamics of a team and thinking which job or which project is going to be better for which person based on their Kolbe A Index.

One extra tip for the Kolbe A Index is to consider taking the test with yourself and your partner. And work out your different styles, as they also apply to the home.

And you can load both of your Kolbe A Index scores, your numbers, into something like ChatGPT or another tool and say, “These are Kolbe A Index working styles. How is that going to be a conflict or a benefit at home?”

And it’s like reading a horoscope about your marriage; it is excellent.

You’ll also find out why there are loads of good DIY ideas, but none of them are done. You’ll also discover why this holiday is so good, and you’ll realize that it’s really insightful about your home and work life as well.

So, I recommend that you to check it out. Here’s a link to the test, and yes, I found it really insightful.
