That restlessness is real
What if I told you that the feeling of restlessness is genuine and should be listened to.
It’s your own wisdom pointing you in a new direction, and that there are practical ways of dealing with it that don’t involve abandoning everything you’ve built, or your responsibilities.
What if I told you that this ‘inkling’ towards something different is supported by science, and that the world of psychology is only just beginning to explore it?
My own feeling of restlessness led me back to university in mid-life to study psychology (at the time of writing this I’m mid-way through a Business Psychology Masters), driven by a personal question that wouldn’t go away: Why do so many capable professionals feel stuck, even after doing everything “right”? especially for those in mid-career when your restlessness can reach fever pitch.
That exploration became personal. And then it became a project.
A unique methodology for becoming aligned
Through my own lived experiences, conversations with like-minded folks and the latest psychology research, I’ve developed a five-step methodology (DISCO) to identify and follow your true career calling, it guides you through self-reflection, trusting your gut, mapping your skills, bravely exploring new directions, and spotting real-world opportunities.
At North Star Labs, our vision is that every career decision is inspired by a calling. Our day-to-day mission is to provide groundbreaking methodologies, tools and encouragement to empower people to uncover and pursue their true career calling, even amidst life’s practical demands.
North Star Labs is a space to explore how we reconnect with work that feels true again. How we make sense of that quiet restlessness, not by chasing more success or piling on more achievement, but by listening to what our discomfort is trying to tell us.
